"Kung Fool"

Films: Alien Vs. Ninja (2010)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Forest/Cave

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The world never seems to tire of watching things that are considered to be cool by default going at each other with victory on their minds. And when one of those things is aliens, the possibilities are boundless! Or they're just plain crazy. Either one will do just fine.

History: Many centuries ago in ancient Japan, ninja clans waged war against one another. However, something has come from the stars to throw a shuriken in the works. A small army of aliens have come to take over, and not even the most talented of ninjas can stand against them alone. It's up to a clan of ninjas to defeat the alien menace before the entire land is reduced to becoming the aliens' personal army.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After the control over the humans is removed, the lead ninja confronts the lead alien in a fight that just keeps escalating. It only ends when the alien tries to fly away, only for the ninja to plant a bomb on it and blow it up as he lands safely. However, a boy is keeping one of the little controllers as a pet...

Powers/Abilities: The aliens are adept in most combat styles, can extend their spear-tails, and can reattach lost limbs. They can also sprout wings if need be, and they produce from their nostrils small controller parasites that go through people's noses and turn them into zombies.

Weakness: Heavy artillery. The controllers can be removed from the throat, though survival of the host isn't guaranteed.

Scariness Factor: 4-Occasionally, it becomes clear that the aliens are just guys in suits, but it hardly deflects from how dangerous they are. Aside from looking like Xenomorphs that came out of dolphins, they are great fighters, are more than keen on tearing people to pieces, and have a method of controlling the masses that's just painful. There's just something so haunting about how they look and act, even if it often falls into absurdity.

Trivia: -This film was directed by Seiji Chiba, who has a history of writing and directing all sorts of martial arts/J-horror films.

-This film was the first from the Sushi Typhoon division of Nikkatsu, the oldest film studio in all of Japan.
